God’s Plan of Happiness

The work of salvation and exaltation focuses on four divinely appointed responsibilities are outlined below (Section 1.2 Church Handbook)

Four divinely appointed responsibilities:

  1. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ by reaching out to our less-active brothers and sisters

  2. Caring for those in need, including providing community service

  3. Inviting all to receive the gospel by engaging in missionary-oriented activities

  4. Uniting families for eternity through temple and family history work.

Events and activities associated with the four divinely appointed responsibilities refer to as “Initiatives”.

Living Life Abundantly ~ Initiatives Events & Activities, are as follows:

  • Each Initiative should be planned with a specific purpose.

  • Initiatives as events and activities supplements supporting the devotionals and conference.

  • Initiatives as events and activities, are impactful spiritually life abundantly enriching experiences.

  • Seeking for Living the greater Joys: *Joy of Learning, *Joy of Serving, & *Joy of Becoming.

“Do a Good Deed, Read for a Child in Need”

“Our youth group did this as an activity about 6 weeks ago where they shared children’s book stories with a goal of individuals submitting recorded stories to Neighborhood House after. My husband and teenage son each uploaded a story to Neighborhood House”.

Video record yourself reading a children's story. The videos will be uploaded to a Vimeo channel that will be distributed to families participating in Neighborhood House programs.
